Pioneer 200

CHEAPER WITH VERY GOOD FLIGHT QUALITIES

Wooden constructed, simple and without frills, this is the ALPI AVIATION choice. The fuselage wood truss structure is the same as the very successful PIONEER 300.

The aircraft has also the same instrument panel, center consol and composite engine cowlings as the 300 series.

Some of the mechanical parts derive from the PIONEER 300 such as: control stick, rudder and elevator hinges, braking system, wheels. The front hinged canopy is made of a one piece, transparent polycarbonate.

The aircraft has a fixed landing gear and a rectangular wing with a main spar made of Spruce with ten ribs per wing. The torsion resistance comes from the usual classic plywood D box. A rear spar supports the hinges and aileron controls aluminium push-pull tubes. The overall aircraft structure is covered by a Dacron fabric.

The aluminium fuel tank has a standard capacity of 54 litres and is positioned inside the fuselage. Several engine types can be installed on the firewall: from 60 up to 80 hp engines are easy to find in used and/or overhauled market place.

PIONEER 300 - SIMPLE, POWERFUL & ELEGANT

The wood and composite construction create a great performance aircraft that caters for the skilled pilot or the newly licensed, cruise speed @ 75% power is 137 kts (S version with the shorter wing span), with a stall speed of 35 kts, retractable landing gear but still with the capability to operate from short landing strips.

The Pioneer 300 can be flown as a long distance tourer or for simple short flights around the airfield, it simply is the best compromise between performance, fuel consumption and flight quality.

The aircraft manoeuvrability and controllability, together with its stability, make it easy to be flown by all pilots, with extraordinary satisfaction.

THE HAWK CLASS, THE FOCUS POINT

Derived from the standard Pioneer 300, it’s a natural Pioneer aircraft evolution. The aircraft, maintaining all the good P300 flight qualities, is supplied with a very high quality luxury interior, improving the Pilot and Passengers level of comfort and owner satisfaction.

The P300 Hawk wing skin is plywood giving the best strength to weight balance, the retractable landing gear is equipped with a gas-oil damper system giving surprising taxing, take-off and landing comfort.

The aircraft is equipped with the new higher and aerodynamic canopy, updated to offer a good cockpit comfort for the taller pilot. The instrument panel is now made of composites and has a three dimensional shape to improve the instrument visual lines and the interior look.
